Production Planner / Time and Movement

Under the responsibility of the Director of Design and Product Development, we are looking for a coordinator / time and movement who, through his involvement with production, will be responsible for calculating the actual duration of operations carried out and measure the movements. Through rigorous monitoring and the data collected as part of this position, the coordinator/time and movement will be able to obtain a realistic view of the current situation and will accurately guide operational optimizations, production forecasts, purchasing equipment and identifying deviations from forecasts, then the most time-consuming operations.


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN A CANDIDATE:

  • College diploma (DEC) or university diploma (BAC) in Operations and Production Management (GOP) or equivalent.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in a similar position preferably in the manufacturing or textile sector an asset
  • Plan and schedule short and medium term production needs
  • Schedule weekly and monthly productions in the system to give visibility to purchases
  • Maintain inventories at an optimal level with the proposed indicators.
  • Create nomenclatures for new products in the system;
  • Respond to changes in demand and priorities as quickly as possible, in order to meet customer needs;
  • Work closely with operational team members to ensure that the daily production plan is respected based on orders, delivery dates and product lifespan
  • Share production schedules with all departments
  • Daily report of crates produced and weekly inventory report and analysis of future needs
  • Analyze manufacturing delays and plan accordingly.
  • Evaluate sales needs versus inventory with customer demand.
  • Participate in the optimization of the planning system and processes;
  • Actively participate in daily production meetings;
  • Have excellent knowledge of Excel
  • Fluency in spoken and written French and English (a third language an asset)
  • Knowledge of AS-400 software an asset
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Good communicator
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt
  • All other related tasks.

Work schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. / Full time, permanent
